We value our diesel technicians for their highly trained and professional approach to problem-solving.
As technology continues to advance, the job of a diesel technician or mechanic continues to become more complex. Today it's not uncommon to see diesel technicians using many different types of technology and tools to fix a variety of problems on diesel vehicles.
A Day in the Life
As an employee of Desert Fleet-Serv, you can expect to work anywhere between 8-10 hours per day, and most of that time will be spent solving complex problems.
You'll begin the day by receiving a list of assignments from your shift supervisor and gathering the tools and parts you will need for the day. You'll then ready your company truck, ensure your GPS unit is in place and confirm your departure via smart phone.
During the rest of your shift, you'll be responsible for working your way through your list of assignments, serving several customers during the course of your shift. You may be responsible for everything from a simple oil change or inspection to a minor or major repair.
Best of all, you will have the opportunity to meet customers, advise them on their repair options, and build lasting relationships based on trust.
